Locality

API's Eglington Street property is so well located to explore Launceston, and northern Tasmania. Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania, so there is a lot to see and do in and around the area.

There are a number of quaint towns within a short drive of Launceston: Campbell Town, Ross and Evandale to name but a few. Each of these is rich with history and well worth exploring.

Launceston itself has perhaps the greatest proportion of beautiful, historic buildings of any city in Australia. George Town, on the banks of the Tamar River and just north of Launceston, is the third oldest settlement in Australia and has a rich maritime history.

Cataract Gorge is probably Launceston's best-known attraction and rightly so. It is within 15 minutes' walk of the CBD and is both naturally beautiful and historically interesting.

Launceston is also the ideal base from which to tour the Tamar Valley vineyards, which include some of the finest cool climate wineries and sparkling wine producers in Australia.
