No designated driver required, as great restaurants and cafes are just 3-minutes level walk away. Nelson Bay offers even more restaurants and cafes as well as the marina.
Mt Tomaree National Park starts behind Tidemark. The walk up to the lookout provides incredible views up and down the beautiful coastline or back over Shoal Bay and beyond. Tomaree National Park is famous for bush walks, native flora and wild life and perfect for a family picnic or healthy outdoor exercise and activities. Koalas are occasionally sited on the walk to the lookout.
Families will love the local attractions including whale-watching and dolphin cruises. The marine sanctuary and soft corals make for amazing snorkelling memories. Stand-up paddleboards and catamaran hire is available further along the beach. For the more adventurous there’s jet-skiing, ocean kayaking, parasailing, boat hire and diving. Zenith Beach is in easy walking distance if you prefer to surf. Alternatively, drop a line in the Bay or try your hand at deep sea fishing.
Ride your bikes around to Fingal Bay and see the whales from the whale watching platform.
